BDay Happy Danny Wells!

Coming off his freshman cd Local Celebrity, local music artist Danny Wells wanted to take a completely different turn for his sophomore album titled Reflection in a unique an organic way.  Full control over each song, each collab and idea.  Bringing flavors of hip-hop, r & b, rock & acoustic, collaborations with artists such as Nick Zuber, Young Low & Slim Jim, this is sure to be a variety music that will attract all phases of listener's.  Today Danny Wells celebrates his birthday and we wish him well.  Quincy Taylor had a chance to sit down with Danny and find out what he's all about.

SMM: How did you get started in music?
Danny Wells: My love for music has stayed with me for as long as I can remember and inspired me to pursue a music career.


SMM: Who were your musical influences?
Danny Wells: Being raised by parents who had diverse tasted in music by such eclectic artists from different genres such as: Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppilin, the Temptations and Jimmy Hendrix (to name a few) really broadened my aspects of music and singing in general.


SMM: Who are your top 5 artists of All time?
Danny Wells: My favorite artists of all time in no particluar order are MJ, Usher, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder and Boyz 2 Men.

SMM: Who are some of the producers you worked with on this project?
Danny Wells: For this album, I had the priviledge of working with two talented producers Johnny Mix and David Shockey.


SMM: In five years from now,where do you envision your career?
Danny Wells: In the near future, I would love to see myself headline for the top names in the rnb game.


SMM: Describe your first single and how it came into making?
Danny Wells: My first single on my previous album 'sick of love' was inspired by past relationships and the downfalls that often transpire with in them.  As soon as I heard the track that was hand picked by Johnny Mix, I knew almost immediately how to express myself using this song as a catylist.

SMM: Any last words or shout outs?
Danny Wells:  I would love to thank all of the fans who have inspired and encouraged me through out the yrs, my Mother and Father for introducing me to the gift of music, my brothers Aaron, Paul and Ethan for the constant support and encouragement, all of the good friends I've come to know and love over the years and Star Music Media for giving me an outlet to express how I feel. I live, breathe, eat and sleep music. Thank you all and remember without you there's no me!
