Cleveland, Grow Some Balls Already!

Radio, Awards Shows and Summits will not get you signed.  It takes much more then getting a song on the radio, winning an award or attending any meeting.  Yes, it can help further your knowledge, career and promo.  As long as you know how to utilize this, maybe one day down the road you can get signed once you've incorporated everything else involving the industry besides what I just mentioned.   What I don't understand is why nobody has to balls to tell certain artists they just don't have what it takes?  This is why the music scene in Cleveland is the way it is.  Instead of trying to teach when you know they ain't got it, grow some balls and tell them to there face for once.  Instead of sending an artist to a summit, put his ass in front of a rep and tell the artist the facts once and for all.   There are too many wanna be's who claim this or that when there music is 100% garbage, and when someone tells them it is, they say there wrong and don't know what there talking about.  Just because your song is on the radio doesn't mean your all that.  Just cause you won and award doesn't mean your the best.  Just cause you attended a summit doesn't mean your gonna get signed.  If you look at the recent artists coming out of Cleveland that DO prove themselves are the ones that actually get up off there ass and grind in the streets.  100% of them do it, but 99% wont make it because i'm sorry, your music just flat out sucks.  You stand on stage with no presence and bring in no crowd whatsoever.

For the artists in Cleveland that have proven themselves, why not take the time to listen to other artists and actually give your honest opinion?  Your the ones these kids look up too and all you do is snub them but ask them to come and buy a ticket to your show?  Too many artists in Cleveland getting recognition when I've never even heard of you and when did they ever go to anyone else's show and show support?  How is it fair that someone who has what it takes, puts on a better stage show and brings in people gets snubbed by a name you just heard about?  Why does Cleveland do this?  Then again, why is Cleveland at the bottom of the food chain and can only generate maybe 3 artists every 10 years from its city?  The old ways of Cleveland are finished.  Some of the proven artists that are still here do not have the spunk they had when they first got noticed.  Same performers working with the same people, all there tracks still sounding the same, etc.....  Its time to let the next generation who actually put in work and make great music to shine.  I'm sick of seeing the same names and same people riding the same coat tails for the past 10 years.

GROW UP CLEVELAND OR GROW SOME BALLS ALREADY.
SINCE NOBODY ELSE HAS THE GUTS TO SAY IT, I WILL.  AND TO ME, THIS IS WHAT CLEVELAND FINALLY NEEDS.  YOU CAN TEACH EM ALL YOU WANT VIA RADIO, AWARDS SHOWS OR SUMMITS, BUT IN THE END YOUR NOT TELLING THEM THE TRUTH...

I REST MY CASE...

AND P.S. having your mixtape hosted by someone when your music sounds like shit will not get you anywhere, the host only wants to use your tape for his own promotion so he can put his name on it and contact info, that way you do all the work and the host gets the free promo and credit....
